Job Summary

An exciting opportunity for a HSE Australia and Pacific role to work on a financial client account.  This global account is highly valued with great client/CBRE integration and synergy and offers the opportunity to be a part of and work with teams all over the world. 


Here’s a snapshot of your day:

Country Responsibilities: 
  • The Australia HSE Representative on the People and Workplace committee providing expert H&S advice, coordinate and organize quarterly meeting agenda and meeting minutes
  • Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments
  • Plan, implement, and conduct preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs
  • Provide management with guidance on health and safety and confirm all responsible countries and locations fulfill industry, local and state guidelines and regulations
  • Collaborates with management to develop emergency evacuation arrangement and serve as primary contact for injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management

Regional Support Responsibilities: 
  • Assist in managing Global/APAC HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and CS standards. Evaluate new and existing APAC HSE programs to assess suitability and the need for changes
  • Assist in overseeing APAC specific HSE plans and procedures are current. Complete and effectively implemented
  • Provide support in monitoring and tracking all HSE near-misses, incidents and accidents and review recommended corrective/preventive actions and track their implementation and effectiveness across the APAC region

COVID-19 Management Responsibilities: 
  • Manage client’s COVID Case Management Protocol as well as COVID related programs (eg. Cleaning and Disinfection, PPE, Return of Office, Visitor and Event Management, COVID safeplan etc.) in meeting compliance and effectiveness.
  • Assess all employees and onsite vendors COVID reported cases and put-up recommended actions aligned with local requirements and Client’s COVID Management Protocols. Coverage may expand from Australia to rest of APAC.
  • Provide support in monitoring, tracking, and trending all COVID-19 cases across the APAC region

Skills and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Health, Safety and Environmental or related field
  • 8-10 years HSE experience (preferrable)
  • Qualifications in OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 is an advantage
  • Data Centres, large office environments, financial services, construction and/or facilities maintenance/management highly desired
  • Possess Certification IV in Work Health and Safety
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified in Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM)
  • Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) preferred or a combination of the above certifications
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles and ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions
  • Conduct advanced financial analysis
  • Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret complex documentation including laws, regulations and court findings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
