Summary

This role is part of the Global Strategy & Finance Team of the BSO. The BSO has recently become a global organisation within CBRE with its own global P&L including the BSO Centres in Minneapolis, Memphis, Mexico City, Toronto, Warsaw and Kuala Lumpur. The Global BSO organisation is going through a phase of major growth and transformation. The Strategy & Finance Team is partnering with the Global BSO management in order to support and drive the strategic objectives of the BSO.

The Global BSO Strategy & Finance Team focuses on four key functions:

1. Budgeting & Forecasting

2. Pricing & Costing

3. New Project Cost & Savings Tracking

4. Strategy & Planning

The Role

Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role will focus on the APAC BSO Centre in Kuala Lumpur but in constant cooperation with the other BSO Centres, working on global initiatives. This is a client-facing role (internal clients) with an overall objective to understand the business model of the BSO in order to deliver clear reporting and insightful analysis to clients, while supporting the BSO management to achieve the global objectives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead / oversee budgeting and forecasting.
  • Oversee detailed P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet analysis, identifying business trends, risks and opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Clear communication of quarterly financials to clients and monthly financials to BSO management.
  • Assume responsibilities for local statutory reporting, accounting and tax
  • Manage pricing review and new project cost and savings tracking for value realization
  • Ensure reporting policies of the BSO are followed by the Kuala Lumpur Centre, consistently with all other BSO Centres.


Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred. Prior controllership experience a plus.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Power BI a plus.
  • Fluency in English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to be concise and tailor message to relevant audience.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Strong team player, flexible with a resourceful attitude.
