JOB SUMMARY  
Responsible for energy efficiency projects and energy program in support of a regional financial institution, with particular focus to identify, design, and oversee capital projects, including capture and tracking of data to report energy and operational savings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
Identify and develop projects to improve energy efficiency

Conduct site visits for energy consultation and/or performing energy audits to identify waste and potential projects

Ability to drive change through communication, education, and influence

Energy Project Management:
Analyze energy usage and opportunities for reduction/efficiency

Interpret information and prepare documentation to support business decisions for energy projects

Develop projects by formalizing scope, obtaining quotes, performing project savings analysis, and obtaining project approval

Oversee project completion, commissioning, and documentation/end-user training

Track relevant facets of energy capital project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality, risk, and commissioning). Ability to report on this information is important.

Monitor and report on energy use and spending trends. Prepare quarterly analysis of energy performance by building, and drive progress to address poor performers.

Manage and expand the smart building program, including oversight of additional projects, troubleshooting assistance, establishing standards and guidance, and ensuring training of high-level users.

Identify and incorporate new, innovative processes and technologies into existing operations

Analyze options for gas, electricity, and renewable energy purchases
Communicate past, present, and future energy plans and performance through formal presentations to client and CBRE leadership

Manage elements of Asset Performance and Energy Excellent (APEX) program:

Understand CMMS, capital replacements, FM operations, Energy & Sustainability, building automation systems, integration and smart buildings​

Track key performance indicators for each section of program

Build out program to track milestones and percentage complete

Act as the Energy Subject Matter Expert for the account

OTHER and PREFERRED SKILLS and ABILITIES
Physically located in or near Detroit Michigan or Dallas Texas

BMS/BAS experience highly preferred

Experience with corporate greenhouse gas or CDP reporting

Experience with lighting technologies and controls

Experience with renewable energy solutions

Mechanical systems or engineering background

Background in mechanical system controls programming

Experience developing energy modeling calculation spreadsheets

Proficient with one or more energy modeling software tools

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Proficiency in Microsoft software, particularly Excel

Responsible for completing assigned projects according to project schedule

Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as simple payback, savings to investment ratio

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE  
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university. Minimum of five years of related experience and/or training. Minimum of four years of managerial experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES  
CEM and LEED accreditation preferred. Training and accreditation part of development and performance management requirements.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS  
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE  
Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY  
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES  
Carbon footprint reporting experience or training preferred. Training and accreditation part of development and performance management requirements.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY  
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.

Pay Range: $100K. Experience and geographic location considered.
