Job Title: Workplace Change Manager, Senior Consultant
Location: London with a blend of remote working
The Workplace Change Manager will lead the adoption of new working practices, ensuring they are seamlessly embedded into the client organisation. The Workplace Change Manager will liaise with staff, stakeholders at all levels and clients to assess the change, determine the impact, and design a strategy to support the client organisation through the change (from initiation through delivery to post move support).
They will be responsible for implementing the strategy, measuring its effectiveness and creating ways to sustain the change. This includes designing and leading all change management activities across leadership and stakeholder engagements including, but not limited to; coaching, training, workshop design and delivery, communication design and delivery, creating exhibition spaces, building change champion networks, planning and conducting familiarisation of new spaces and coordinating celebration events etc.
The Workplace Change Manager is required to be a self-starter, bringing new ideas to work effectively at all levels of the organization. The ability to confidently and sensitively influence others, including executive leadership to deliver a common goal will be paramount. At the heart of this role is a pro-active, client focused approach, where the ability to communicate and partner with multiple stakeholders is crucial. The role is ‘hands on’ and will require demonstrable project and change management experience.
• Single point of contact for all change/engagement/communication related issues – key interface for client and project team
• Design, lead and implement an engaging change programme, appropriate to the type and level of change
• Undertake change impact analysis, change readiness assessment, stakeholder mapping, and senior level engagement to inform the above programme
• Own key relationships with stakeholders across all levels, gaining their buy-in to the change and leveraging them as necessary and appropriate
• Develop communication strategy and detailed plan for delivery. Produce communication materials (working with internal client communication team as appropriate)
• Design and implement coaching, training, workshops, exhibition spaces, drop-in sessions, familiarisation tours and any other engaging interventions appropriate to the change and culture of the organisation
• Recruit, lead and inspire a network of change champions from across the client organisation
• Communicate at a high level and engage with other project team members to develop and implement the change plan
• Continually measure impact of change and communication activities; adapt and refine programme of delivery as necessary
• Qualified to degree level in related field (not compulsory)
• Affiliation with external networks such as Corenet / BCO / WCO or relevant professional body
• A strong understanding of workplace strategy and change management principles
• Good understanding and knowledge of workplace trends / workplace generally
• Ability to multi-task on concurrent projects, under tight time frames
• A high level of initiative, self-motivation, resourcefulness and patience
• Practical hands on experience of workplace change management, engagement and communications
• Knowledge of or experience in workplace consolidations, agile/flexible/activity based working implementations, portfolio optimisation, workplace concept/guideline development, moves strategy/ management, technology as an enabler
• Softer skills relating to gaining business buy-in/stakeholder management, relationship building, communication strategy and development, confident to lead client conversations, sell the workplace proposition (flexible working) and deal with resistance around the change
• Strong commercial acumen and business development experience
• Experience in scoping, pricing, pitching, wining and delivering projects
• Beneficial to have experience in specific sector (if recruited with specific sector in mind)
