CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Scientific Equipment Coordinator to join the team located in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a support service focused on the facilitation of the repair, preventive maintenance and calibration of Scientific assets, customer enquiries and associated Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) records for.

Role Summary:

Ensure valid purchase order is in place in conjunction with prior to commencement of non-contract work
Liaise with AZ customers regarding the services required for the efficient installation, maintenance, relocation, decommission and support of AZ instrumentation assets.  This includes the logging of any work orders as required and PM planning and management
Act as a first point of contact for all third-party contractors arriving at site, ensuring that they have a valid EHS, GxP induction and HORUS screening prior to commencement of work. Review risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to work commencing in area/job in which they are working
Ensure that all third-Party contractors are managed in line with AZ and CBRE procedures
Take ownership of ensuring all assets required to be sent away for calibration are collected, packaged, sent off site and returned to site in a controlled manner
Use Client system to book all third-Party contractor visits.
Ensure all compliant documentation including, but not limited to, engineering service reports are stored and filed according to GxP and GDP practices
Assist both AZ and CBRE in the preparation for audits and assist in the retrieval of relevant documentation for inspection purposes
Keep end users apprised of work order status and acts as on-site lead for the timely escalation of service request issues
Review and update CMMS records to ensure they accurately reflect status of equipment; where changes effect GxP equipment ensures compliant procedures have been followed
Liaise daily with other LIS staff as required
Report any scheduling failures to the local scheduler and or customer (as required) in order to reschedule
Support Automation Lead role where required, including cover for absence.
Support Operational/Departmental change control when required by the client
Discuss all essential points arising from the above duties with the section leader or deputy and to implement any mutually agreed suggestions from these discussions
Assist in providing site coverage during core hours for support to AZ scientific staff and for the safety of visiting engineers to site
accommodate all reasonable requests from management, such that continuity of support is given to AZ customers from both a business and operational perspective
Drive key maintenance KPI’s such as MTTR and MTBF in order to ensure the R&D scientific community have maximum equipment availability to increase equipment untilisation
Support to CBRE Management Team to ensure all activities are completed
Act as ambassador to CBRE, ensuring a first-class service is always delivered

Experience Required:

Advanced Modern Apprenticeship with NVQ 3 in engineering 
HNC/HND in relevant engineering discipline
Experience of working in a fast paced, operational environment
Multiple years of experience within the Laboratory Instrument Support sector across a wide range of scientific systems especially UPLC and MS
Very strong analytical skills with proven ability to break down and solve complex problems in a logical and structured approach
PC literate in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
Strong relationship management and excellent communication skills/influencing skills 
Ability to work to own initiative but team orientated and able to work with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills 
Robust and assertive attitude towards achieving results and motivating team members
