Job Description

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a People Business Partner to join the team. 

Role Summary:
•Work with the Business Unit Director, Senior People Partner and other stakeholders to create and deliver the business strategy, financial, customer and people objectives to ensure GWS achieves its profit and growth targets
•Produce and own the People Plan and deliver tangible and measurable ‘value add’ outputs
•Lead and be accountable for the delivery of an end to end employee lifecycle experience
•Be a visible and accessible part of the team, recognised as the People Partner through frequent contact with customers and employees
•Manage employment law risks and provide solutions
•Work with the Learning & Development team to ensure that all employees have access to programmes that build on their current skills, allowing them to fulfil their roles to the best of their ability and to develop in readiness for future roles
•Produce measurable talent development and succession plans and co-own the delivery of these plans
•Lead initiatives to improve competence and capability of talent across the organisation, constantly driving up bench strength
•Work with the Director as a catalyst for divisional diversity and equality initiatives 
•Own the induction of new employees through regular engagement and tracking to drive up employee retention rates 
•Be actively involved in developing current and future business opportunities and ensuring that the division has the skill sets to support new sectors and growth
•Support the sales team with tender/bid activities including written submissions and presentations 
•Be accountable for the people related aspects of all TUPE activity, working through the operational management team and the People team 
•Awareness of the Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment (TUPE) regulations
•Understand the risks/liabilities connected to TUPE protected benefits & pensions and address these early in the tender & bid process
•Be able to liaise with the varying CoE’s to ensure the TUPE element of the transition is completed on time with no issues  
•Work with the management team as a coach, challenger, contributor and driver of important divisional decisions 
•Accurately and consistently ensure that the division operates people policies and practices in line with GWS EMEA and CBRE globally
•Work with customers to monitor people and service delivery and put in place initiatives that tangibly deliver constant improvements in quality service delivery 
•Drive client outcomes as top priority
•Provide support and expertise to the senior team and actively deliver effective organisational change using a range of external and internal resources
•Act as a role model of CBRE RISE values and leadership behaviours
•Own the delivery of initiatives which consistently reinforce CBRE’s culture and behaviours such as; induction programmes, exceptional awards, site-based toolbox talks and communication boards
•Lead on action planning from the outputs of employee engagement surveys
•Demonstrate positive employee engagement through People metrics such as turnover and absence and have plans in place where these do not meet local, regional and Company targets
•Deliver a People Strategy utilising our Human Capital to deliver the Business Strategy and Four-Year Plan
•Ensure that managers have the tools and access to advice needed to effectively manage the performance of their employees
•Own the training of all managers in the Company’s People policies and procedures and use of People tools so that underperformance is managed quickly and effectively
•Be visible for managers to have easy access to assist with employee challenges or concerns
•Act as the employment law expert and provide timely advice on matters, following-up with managers to make sure their intervention has been successful and to offer any further assistance needed
•Create a culture of excellence and best practice which is clearly visible through the outputs of the team
•Translate business and People MI trends to facilitate sound business decisions
•Work with the business leaders to make decisions that demonstrate a consistent pay and reward framework within the division including use of salary benchmarking data when making reward decisions 

Experience Required:
•Excellent understanding of business and its drivers
•Extensive knowledge at senior level of People and talent management strategies, practices, People frameworks, initiatives and models
•Up to date knowledge of local legislation, market and employment trends in the external environment
•Comfortable with making difficult and/or important decisions
•Team leadership and development skills
•Membership of CIPD
•High level of interpersonal and communication skills, an excellent relationship builder
•Ability to inspire and take challenges
