Lead Water Treatment Engineer CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, we are recruiting a Lead Water Treatment Engineer to join our Critical Environments Division, on an account located in London. The Lead Water Treatment Engineer will be part of the CBRE GWS-Critical Environments Division, which provides end-to-end services across the complete lifecycle of our client’s workspace, helping to improve business operations and reduce cost. The Critical Environments division supports businesses in the following areas; Life Science, Banking and Financial Markets, Manufacturing and Healthcare and forms one part of the Local FM business group within GWS. Key responsibilities Quality • Ensure QHSE documentation is maintained and readily available using CBRE systems e.g. Logbooks, Hazard Reports, training & competency records, PPE, toolbox talks. • Use Zeta Safe and MiCad systems to accurately complete reactive and PPM jobs and support reporting. • Actively identify/implement innovation across the contract to enhance performance and continue to meet client expectations. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills at all levels. People & Development • Promote and maintain CBRE culture throughout teams. • Communicate effectively and build/maintain relationships at all levels with internal and external customers. • Attend and participate in any relevant training courses. • Attend regular role specific meetings and client meetings to support Compliance Manager. • Deputising for Senior Water Treatment Engineer. Contract • When needed liaise with sub-contractors to arrange maintenance visits, delivery of materials, Extra Works within contracted SLAs. • Support Compliance Manager with creating reports for the Client. • Familiar with daily operations and the specific scheduled tasks. Key Tasks • Carry out PPM on domestic hot and cold water systems. • Basic plumbing repair work associated with domestic systems. • Sampling, servicing, installing and descaling TMV's. • Full driving license. • Excellent communication and organisational skills. • Knowledge of closed systems would be beneficial. • Chlorine dioxide basic knowledge and principles of operation. • Knowledge of water softeners and swimming pools. Being able to diagnose problems and do simple fixes. • Testing chlorine dioxide levels and doing, simple repairs to units. • Stripping out taps and pipework • Completing thermal and local disinfection • Managing log books • Managing sub-contractor • Maintaining cooling towers (chemicals, dip slides) • Working as a part of a team to carry out bigger jobs and also capable of working independently. • CWST remedial works. • Dead leg removal. • Calorifier inspection works – desirable. • Providing solutions to problems found during inspections and service Person Specification • Organised (and ability to plan) • Works in a structured and organised way.
