The ICT Project Manager supports and manages the Technology Infrastructure relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader to grow the business relationship and Technology offering within Data Center Solutions.  This role will ensure alignment between the account organisation and other departments within DCS to maximize value creation and ensure excellence in project delivery by providing direction and oversight to enable business unit and account teams to positively contribute and comprehensively manage the fulfilment of our commitment to the client.

Through the development and execution of an Account Business Plan, the ICT Project Manager will be responsible for the profitable revenue growth and profit targets of the account portfolio as well as adding new clients.  The ICT Project Manager is required to develop senior level customer relations as part of developing strategic plans that ultimately improve the DCS business, utilising the full breadth of Technology Infrastructure products and capabilities of DCS.

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited, to the following:

Strategic Planning & Value Creation
  • Account & Project Growth
  • Acts as an expert in DCS business, culture and strategy by pro-actively contributing to the improvement of the DCS business.
  • Supports growth of DCS business through the development and execution of an ICT Business Plan/s
  • Represents DCS best interests externally and internally to GWS
  • Support strategy for current DCS client base where projects are being delivered outside of CBRE
  • Support growth of current DCS client base for Technology Infrastructure projects
  • Create individual strategies with industry manufacturers & distributors
  • Amalgamate current CBRE Technology footprint to create a stronger Technology brand
  • Strategic interpreter of needs and identifier of new value-added services
  • Accommodates, plans, assists portfolio contraction & expansion
  • Ensures the successful management of scope expansion & renewal activities
  • Establishes and executes resource & people strategy
Customer Relationship Management & Development
  • Assists the contract relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader to grow the business relationship with the client 
  • Demonstrates credibility and thought leadership, influencing business outcomes
  • Manages DCS wide client relationships at senior levels acting as an advisor to the DCS management team 
  • Creates alignment between customer need & organisational delivery
  • Manages issue escalation and resolution
  • Direct support for the account leadership team and may have direct reporting as well as matrix reporting responsibilities 
  • Manages in a diverse environment
  • May have Global or multi-regional responsibilities
  • Direct technical support for the entire Project Team, training and upskilling where required
P&L, Contract Management and Governance
  • Assist financial performance of IT Projects
  • Assists the resources to deliver the project, managing scope interpretation as required.
  • Leads the sponsorship essential to deliver the project, assisting to manage the scope interpretation as required
  • Ensures fulfilment of “promise” to customer – sets tone and culture for the way DCS delivers
  • Engages executive involvement as needed to leverage the broader DCS portfolio to introduce new scope & business pricing as part of delivering an integrated set of services
  • Ability to negotiate, administer contract and possess solid understanding of contractual terms and implications
  • High level of personal credibility, customer relationship management, networking and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record in the development & implementation of strategic plans
  • Significant experience managing customer accounts across multiple regions
