The purpose of this position is to support the Managing Director of Project Management APAC with the growth, diversification and operational delivery of the Project Management businesses within China, Hong Kong and Taiwan otherwise referred to as greater China.
Essential duties and Responsibilities
•To manage the Cross Accounts Teams supporting the GWS account agency projects as well as the On Account Principal contracting teams to drive growth and governance across all projects works in current markets as well as drive opportunities into new sectors / markets in conjunction with the broader business units
•To develop business plans for the in-country Projects businesses and manage the country leads to grow in both Revenue and Ebitda for Projects, establishing resource growth and diversity across the business to meet the business plan targets set, with focus on both Cross Accounts Teams as well as On Account Principal Contracting
•Set up, maintain and monitor financial tracking systems with each country/division manager with assistance from finance, to ensure that cost is being effectively and proactively managed to support the business case and required growth targets.
•Monitor that project leaders have appointed optimum resourcing/manpower on various projects. Set up a mechanism to review resourcing optimization and ensure that necessary approvals are adhered to in the hiring of such resources, and aligned to budget forecasts.
•Establish, monitor and maintain a training process to support the teams learning and development and ensuring that the teams skillsets and consistency of approach is of constant focus and improvement, whilst balancing the impact to P&L. Follow the Global mandatory process and requirements as required to support a standardized delivery solution for CBRE
•Monitor, control and assist the project teams to effectively implement and utilise all mandated process, systems and procedures. Conduct project and site visits and obtain client feedback by personal and formal interaction for performance review.
•Establish and maintain the audit and compliance monitoring protocol, procedures and calendar and ensure adherence. Establish training initiatives in consultation with leaders. Implement and manage project management software tools.
•Establish and maintain reporting to key leaders. Establish and maintain regional databases for in country, wins, leads and opportunities, establish the PM software systems in country as well as other management tools and systems implemented across the rest of the region for benchmarking and reporting.
•Establish and maintain a formal mechanism of review and risk analyses on all projects and monitor the implementation of the same across each country, implementing KPI’s for all employees based on performance, and implementing an audit process to measure and improve quality of delivery within projects.
•Ensure appropriate insurances are obtained, and EHS and any statutory or legal compliance process and measures are established and adhered to within the teams for each and every project, to ensure risk is minimised.
•Ensure adherence to project management processes/workflows and gate checks for approvals.
•Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
•Minimum of 15 years of related progressive experience and/or training.
•Prior experience in a regional position (direct report responsibilities) required noting specific duties include direct report responsibilities.
