Job Title: Fire & Security Engineer National Accounts
Business Unit / Contract: Fire & Security
Location: Mobile Engineer
Reports to: Supervisor/National Service Manager

Purpose of the role

· To operate within the company RISE values
· To ensure that all PPM’s and reactive tasks assigned are completed and managed within the
contractually agreed SLA’s and KPIs, taking ownership of all assigned tasks through to closure
· To ensure compliance is adhered too with CBRE Health, safety, quality and environmental
· To be part of an out of hours technical support team providing support by way of phone and or
site visit within an assigned rota
· Provide technical advice and guidance to other staff and customers to resolve technical system
· Providing high levels of customer service always
· Hold a good level of knowledge across all Fire & Security disciplines
· Full Driving License is required as this vacancy will involve travel within a specified area
· Promotion of a positive health and safety culture
Main duties & responsibilities
· Be able to provide maintenance and expert fault finding, providing advice and guidance to
others across all systems including but may not be limited too –
· Fire alarms (all types)
· VESDA systems (or equivalent)
· Intruder Alarm systems
· CCTV systems
· Access control systems
· Operate within the company QHSE requirements
· Excellent communication skills required to be able to operate within a very busy environment
ensuring clear communications are passed between contract support and or clients where
· Ensure that work completed on site and on any project’s fully conforms to the relevant
company, customer and legal standards
· Responsible for delivery of services agreed to the contracts, including the cost, quality,
timeliness of work completed
· Manage relationship with customer and liaise with customer to ensure customer is kept fully
informed and project a positive professional image of self and CBRE/Fire & Security
· Ensure that work completed on site/project/contract fully conforms to relevant company,
customer and legal standards and H&S procedures
· Completion of risk assessments and method statements for activities within jurisdiction, ensuring
any hazards are reported and managed through the expected processes
· Undertaking site audits for technical delivery as and when required
· Prompt reporting of all Reporting Events within your control through QHSE
· Develop and maintain key relationships with all stakeholders within the business both internally
and externally
· Ensure all required documentation/paperwork is provided to the office teams within the
timescales agreed to ensure compliance levels are always achieved
Essential Qualities
· Must be able to pass relevant business security screening
· Demonstrable strong technical understanding of all disciplines of Fire & Security Services
· Recognised qualifications in fire & security/electrical
· To be open to cross training and self-improvement
· Focused and determined to achieve
· Able to manage client expectation
· Good communications skills
· Works well under pressure in a very busy environment
· Good IT skills
· Attention to detail
· Reliable & presentable for high profile working environment
· Possesses a clear understanding of responsibilities under health and safety legislation


· Fire & security-based industry qualifications/training or experience
· H&S training – IOSH/NEBOSH/equivalent
· Multi-disciplined engineer


· Relevant experience required and gained to provide a comprehensive service whilst ensuring
compliance and industry standards are met and adhered too
· Multi skilled operative/experience will be essential
· Installation experience and commissioning – desirable


· Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus
· Excellent verbal, and good basic standard of written, communication skills
· Self-motivated and systematic

· Excellent time management and organisational skills

Contract terms

· Standard CBRE T&Cs will be offered
· Pension
· Sickness
· Holidays – 25 plus bank holidays
· 40 hours per week
· £150 callout retainer
· Mobile engineer
· Callout rota requirement – rota to be defined by line manager
· Notice period 1 month
· Salary – to be discussed with National Service Manager
