Director - Supply Chain Programme Lead

Lead key supply chain consulting engagements and primarily focus on supporting client pursuits and conducting business case rationalisation, network analysis, research, modelling, solution development, presentation creation, and help deliver exceptional client outcomes.  Key responsibilities include sales and sales support, delivery, training and development, marketing and thought leadership.
Key Delivery Responsibilities
• Identifies and creates opportunity sourcing decision process (i.e., triggers / criteria) to determine when CBRE team delivers work
• Designs and delivers successful consulting engagements, managing multiple engagements at any given time
• Leads and manages project teams and their activities
• Develops and maintains positive client relationships while managing client expectations
• Efficiently manages project requirements, resources, timelines and budgets
• Communicates well: within the core sales/project team, with key stakeholders, and with senior supply chain and real estate executives
• Delivers project results; plan and lead client presentations
• Identifies and communicates issues that may impact project scope, schedule, budget or quality
• Designs modelling approaches to answer strategic business questions
• Uses supply chain knowledge to identify business improvement opportunities, frame issues, structure problems, and create solution approaches
• Identifies and communicates ways to improve CBRE’s analysis tools and techniques
• Instructs and mentor junior resources in techniques and methodology
• Interacts with other consulting and advisory practices to continuously improve CBRE’s ability to deliver exceptional client outcomes

 Key Business Development Responsibilities
• Supports Occupier and Investor leaders, local market Industrial and Logistics leaders (i.e., management focused accounts, one-off and/or geographic based pursuits) and Brokers to qualify, target and pursue prospects by leveraging supply chain subject matter expertise
• Leads or supports pursuit diagnostics with the client to better understand business imperatives and CBRE’s value-add
• Supports the development of a tailored “win strategy” for each pursuit
• Develops relevant supply chain and logistics analysis and/or point of view during the sales cycle to exhibit capabilities
• Participates in the creation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials with the pursuit team and CBRE’s national/local marketing professionals
• Participates in client meetings / presentations and support presentation preparation sessions
• Leads / oversees pricing and contract negotiations for Supply Chain Advisory proposals
• Tracks all activity using Client IQ and other internal tracking mechanisms
• Participates in post-mortems to identify critical success factors in pursuits and use data to consistently strengthen and improve pursuit strategies
• Identifies and communicates supply chain and logistics trends, opportunities and competitive threats. 
• Creates thought leadership, white papers, point-of-view sales collateral to educate sales leaders, participates in speaking engagements, etc.
• Identifies existing CBRE element, capabilities and offerings that provide synergistic value proposition when coupled with CBRE’s supply chain advisory offerings.  Works with sales & marketing to package and communicates supply chain & logistics.  Further develops partner relationships, standard operating process and enables delivery.
• Is constantly visible and accessible to the team and is recognised as knowledgeable person within CBRE A&T culture and behaviours
• Supports a culture of co-operation and teamwork
• Works collaboratively with other business teams, role modelling the occupier approach by offering clients a blend of products to meet their needs
• Is always accessible and responsive to clients, if appropriate
• Contribute to overall A&T Occupier Revenue/EBITDA plan
• Actively encourages a culture of cross-divisional collaboration to maximise growth and service opportunities
• Supports the Advisory leadership team to ensure that all A&T objectives and financial plans are met.   
 
Person Specification/Requirements
• Educated to degree level.   Master’s degree (MA, MS or MBA) preferred
• A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the supply chain industry, preferably working with quantitative tools and methodology in analysing supply chain decisions (specific experience in consulting is preferred)
• Experience launching, building and running a consulting organisation
• Demonstrates a track record of leading and delivering on supply chain projects including Supply Chain Design / Network Rationalisation facility capacity analysis, operational assessments, third party decision support and business case development
• Demonstrates a solid quantitative background, including experience in applying optimisation and/or simulation techniques
• Has strong understanding of the supply chain industry and impacts on commercial real estate decisions
• Has the skills and experience to understand client requirements, manages client expectations, uses quantitative methodologies, and executes on delivery plans
• Demonstrates knowledge/capabilities in the areas of financial analysis, business administration, legal, human resources, ethical practices, marketing, business development and consultative sales
• Uses ability to think strategically and to synthesise the most complex business and financial data
• Has superior and creative problem-solving skills with a strong working knowledge of data manipulation tools such as MS Access, Excel, Tableau and supply chain analytic tools such as Llamasoft’s Supply Chain Guru / LogicNet Plus, PC Miler, SMC3 Batch Rating, , etc.
• Possesses excellent client communication and management skills and experience
• Possesses the leadership and mentorship skills to help develop junior consultants, real estate brokers and account leaders
• Possesses strong experience in managing and coordinating with a large, diverse team
• Fosters a strong service-orientation and an “advisory role” in client relationships and in support of client pursuit team
• Utilises an entrepreneurial approach and develops innovative solutions
