Job Title: Credit Controller 
Reports To: Finance Manager
Location: London (Flexible)

Role Purpose
As our Credit Controller you will have two main areas of responsibility – managing the credit control function for Property Management & Property Management FM as well as supporting the sales ledger processes efficiently, accurately and within agreed time frames.

Key Responsibilities
? Core
Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts using pro-active collection techniques
Adhere to all credit control processes and develop where necessary 
Effectively manage workload across portfolio of clients
Promote and develop relationships with key contacts throughout the business
Manage queries to resolution through investigation, reconciliation and escalation 
Hold regular meetings/con calls with property managers/surveyors to review client debt
Recommend bad debt write offs where applicable
Assist Treasury team with allocation of monies and maintenance of accounts 
Assist with client onboarding and new start form set-up process
Respond to relevant client enquiries
Partner the business to reduce debt position 
Creation of required debt reports to maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
Maintain mailboxes and ensure all queries cleared

Processing and reconciliation of invoices
Regional & portfolio monthly/quarterly billing
Other ad hoc support as required

Person Specification 

? Early stages of studying towards relevant accounting qualification i.e. AAT, ACCA, CIMA (Preferred)
? Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority
? Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
? Maintains a positive attitude towards routine tasks
? Accurate and exceptional attention to detail
? Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team
? Strong data interrogation and analysis skills
? Confident and assertive where required

Skills Required 

? 3-5 years’ experience working within credit control function 
? Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables, Vlookups etc.
? Experience using other Microsoft Office applications (incl. Word, PowerPoint, MS Outlook).  
? Ability to deal with multiple systems for debt reconciliation
? Good understanding of credit control procedures and techniques 
? Knowledge of legal proceedings 
? Property knowledge would be advantageous
? Experience of working in high transactional environment
