Position Summary

This role is responsible for planning, directing and executing on CBRE’s strategic vision and mission.  Working closely with the CEO, the role drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of mid to long-term growth plans and profitability goals.  Analyzes and makes recommendations based on emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including M&A, competitive threats, and internal business performance and business process improvements.  Leads and manages the evaluation of potential business ideas, M&A or corporate projects, as well as the development of effective execution plans.  This is a hands-on, stand-alone role working directly with the CEO and senior management team. 

Key Responsibilities

Ø  Develop plans to materialize strategy and analyze business proposals

Ø  Monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes

Ø  Assess the company’s operational and strategic performance

Ø  Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes (e.g. shift in strategic focus, mergers and acquisitions)

Ø  Construct corporate valuation model

Ø  Collaborate with LOB leaders to access opportunities in a progressive, systematic and routine fashion

Ø  Build relationships across the company to keep an ongoing flow of ideas and ensure proposals are strategically aligned with overall company objectives

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of market research and data analysis
  • Knowledge of business operations and procedures
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Native level Japanese / High level business English
  • In-depth knowledge of innovative digital technologies would be an added advantage

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting / Finance / Business Studies / Economics or equivalent with accounting / finance / legal / economics background and/or knowledge in Finance / Management Accounting
  • Professional qualification or relevant post graduate degree would be an added advantage e.g. MBA
