This is a building surveying opportunity for a position at experienced graduate (sitting APC), Surveyor or Senior Surveyor level; the role would suit a RICS Qualified Surveyor with up to 2-3 years post qualification experience. The candidate will predominantly be working with colleagues and clients of Investors and Occupiers and will involve technical building advice, defect diagnosis, technical reviews of alterations, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules, project work and some due diligence. The role will also involve undertaking dilapidation negotiations and preparing schedules for landlords and tenants.
? To assist in the successful implementation and delivery of professional and contract building surveying within the London Building Surveying Team through the completion of a varied range of building surveying instructions.
? Take responsibility for the management of client and project teams to deliver high quality and timely building surveying services profitably;
? Deliver projects from inception to completion with the minimum of supervision to meet the project objectives in accordance with company policies;
? Projects to include but are not restricted to:-
o Technical Building Advice
o Documentation Review of Works
o Planned Preventative Maintenance Inspections and Reporting
o Preparation of Schedule of Dilapidations and negotiating on behalf of Landlord or Tenant;
o Preparation of specifications and schedules of work;
o Drafting of Standard Contract forms and Contract Administration;
o Building surveys for Investment or occupational purposes;
? Comply with CBRE’s policies and management system;
? Work in compliance with Quality Management Procedures;
? To positively contribute to the department’s business plan and revenue targets to assist in achieving its objectives;
? The ideal candidate will be recently MRICS qualified with some commercial surveying experience but we will consider strong candidates coming up to their APC;
? Good appreciation of professional and project based building surveying matters being able to understand the basics of the local and wider property markets;
? Good communication and interpersonal skills to present a professional and knowledgeable persona;
? Able to work as part of a team, supporting and working with colleagues and sister departments;
? Build, develop and maintain existing business and client relationships;
? Organise and prioritise tasks so that they are efficiently completed within an agreed time frame;
? Provide concise and clear written communication including computer skills;
? Understand and apply all CBRE procedures relating to work activities;
? Accurate and excellent attention to detail;
? Sociable and outgoing team player who deals effectively with colleagues and clients Confident and assertive where required but understands and appreciates the importance of using discretion;
? Clean driving licence and willingness to occasionally travel within the UK & Europe;
